Weekly Knitting and Crochet Circle

Join this casual gathering of knitters and crocheters every Thursday from 9:00 – 11:00 AM to work on projects and share skills in a friendly atmosphere. Participants are welcome to bring their own supplies and projects or borrow the Library’s needles and yarn. All skill levels are welcome, including beginners who are interested in learning. Read, Think, Debate: Discuss Like a Pro With Qatar Debate

Looking to sharpen your debate skills? Join us for the final wroskhop session, in collaboration with Qatar Debate. Participants will read Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury and debate themes within the book. Copies of the book are available to borrow at the Library.

Be Conscious: Consumer Protection

The Library, in cooperation with the Assistant Undersecretary For Consumer Protection - Ministry of Economy and Commerce, invites you to attend an awareness workshop about consumer protection. We will shed light on the laws, rights and duties of the consumer, along with examples of commercial fraud that must be understood to avoid consumer exploitation. We will also offer advice on how to deal with these offenses and the role of the authorities in preventing them.

Bookshare Orientation and Registration

Bookshare is an online database for people with print disabilities. It provides audiobooks, read-along books, DAISY talking books, and braille and large-font books. You can customize your reading experience with ebooks in formats that work according to your needs. This event will help you find resources on Bookshare; the latter part of the program will teach you how to register for membership. Bookshare account registration is every Monday from 5:00 – 7:00 PM.
