On the occasion of the International Day against Illicit Trafficking in Cultural Property, which falls on 14 November of each year, Qatar National Library (the IFLA PAC Regional Center in the Arab Region and the Middle East) is organizing a remote panel discussion with elite experts. They will discuss regional and international cooperation to combat the trafficking of cultural property, with a focus on documentary heritage, particularly in the Middle East and North Africa.

In this session participants will be introduced to 3-D modelling software. They will import a 3-D scan of the World Cup football and learn how to modify and personalize it, according to their nationality or favorite team.

Three-dimensional scanning technology is used for creating 3-D models of real-world objects. In this session participants will get an introduction to scanning technology and its applications and they will learn how to scan objects. They will then be introduced to the Shining 3-D scanner and the Sense 3-D scanner.

Join this two-day workshop for a fun learning experience. Artist Fatima Al Nuaimi will show participants how to recycle paper to create attractive bookmarks, inspired by the theme of the Qatar 2022 World Cup™!

In this workshop, participants will learn about the way arcade consoles are builts, with a step-by-step tutorial of how to build one. They will then share their work with a friend and play together.
