As part of Qatar National Day celebrations, the Library is pleased to invite you to a lecture by Professor Yousef Al-Abdullah and Mohammed Hammam. The lecture will cover the Turkish-British conflict over Qatar under the rule of Sheikh Jassim Bin Mohammed (1876 – 1913) and the most important historical events of that period, including the Battle of Al Wajbah, a defining moment in the development of Qatar as a modern state.
