Dr. Rana Al-Shami, a pediatric neurologist at Sidra Medicine, will deliver a scientific lecture on the first word of Quran: "read." She will identify reading centers in the brain, explain how to teach and learn reading skills, and explore the relationship between reading, writing and knowing the names of things.

The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is a self-reporting test that attempts to indicate how people see the world and make decisions. In this workshop, you'll learn about the theory of MBTI and practice the techniques and framework of this indicator.

Join this casual gathering of knitters and crocheters every Thursday from 9:00 – 11:00 AM to work on projects and share skills in a friendly atmosphere. Participants are welcome to bring their own supplies and projects or borrow the Library’s needles and yarn. All skill levels are welcome, including beginners who are interested in learning. This month at the Readers and Opinions Book Club, we will be discussing Granada: A Novel, by Egyptian author Radwa Ashour. The historical novel tells the story of a family dealing with the consequences of the Castilian takeover of the Muslim kingdom of Grenada in 1492. The book is available at the User Services Desk.
