Qatar National Library, as the IFLA/PAC Regional Center for Arab Countries and the Middle East, in cooperation with the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK) in Lebanon, presents a series of four webinars on the different aspects of collection care.

Hajj, the annual pilgrimage to the holy city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia, is one of the most significant duties that all Muslims should undertake once in their lifetimes, if they are able. The Hajj is one of the five pillars of Islam and comes with great reward for Muslims who take part in its ceremonies. The Islamic pilgrimage to the holy city of Mecca is an honorable and substantial symbol of the deepening of religious faith. It also builds unity among Muslims as it demonstrates their submission to God.

Libraries Lead: QNL Annual Forum for Library Professionals - Pre-Forum Workshop

In this workshop, participants will be introduced to the basics of data science, with live demonstrations of the applications of these technologies. This session will be led by John Laurence Zabanal, a professional data scientist who has been involved in creating various projects related to data science.

In celebration of the World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development, which is held every year on 21 May, the Library will hold an event to celebrate the richness of the world’s cultures, and the essential role of cultural diversity for achieving peace and sustainable development.
