Join us for a hands-on introduction to how you can record and host your own podcast. You will learn about the basic equipment and free software that you can use for recording, as well as tips on where to host your podcast online.

In this lecture, we will discuss the story of the "Flood” mentioned in the Epic of “Gilgamesh” and how the region of the Arabian Gulf (Delmon) was described in this legend and in the Mesopotamian legends as the pure, sacred land of immortality. The epic of Gilgamesh is a poetic Sumerian epic written in cuneiform script in Akkadian on twelve muddy tablets discovered in 1853. The lecture will be given by Dr. Haya Al-Thani, Director of Museum Affairs at the Qatar National Museum, and will be moderated by Dr. Sherine Al-Manshawi from Qatar University.

The Holy Kaaba is the most sacred site of Islam, held by Muslims to be the House of God. Pilgrimage to the Kaaba is one of the fundamental rites of Islam, and its location determines the direction Muslims turn to for their prayers.
