Ramadan Mubarak! You and your children can honor Ramadan with the Library’s decoration design workshop. During the Holy Month, we will use special machines to make different decorations that you can use to celebrate Ramadan at home.

Join this casual gathering of knitters and crocheters every Thursday from 9:00 – 11:00 AM to work on projects and share skills in a friendly atmosphere. Participants are welcome to bring their own supplies and projects or borrow the Library’s needles and yarn. All skill levels are welcome, including beginners who are interested in learning. Bookshare is an online database for people with print disabilities. It provides audiobooks, read-along books, DAISY talking books, and braille and large-font books. You can customize your reading experience with ebooks in formats that work according to your needs. This event will help you find resources on Bookshare and register for membership.

Each Wednesday during Ramadan, we will explore stories of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, and his companions. Come hear the history of early Muslims and discuss your thoughts with the group.

Learn the basics of citation management through RefWorks. The session will cover how to collect references from various online databases, how to save and manage them in RefWorks, how to cite references automatically in a Word document, and how to produce extensive bibliographies in no time.

The Creative Writing Circle is an opportunity for creative writers to come together and share their work. The group will provide inspiration, feedback and encouragement in a supportive environment. So whatever stage you’re at, come along and get writing! Sessions will be held between 9 – 11 AM on Tuesdays.
