Palestinian embroidery is folklore inherited through generations, a fine art that distinguishes Palestinian women. The decorations on the dress constitute an important indicator to know the identity of the village or region to which it belongs. Join us to learn about this beautiful inherited art with Feda Allouh. Grab your yarn and needles, and let’s chat! The Library will provide embroidery tools for a limited number of registered users to be picked up from our building on an announced date that will be sent to the registered participatns.

In this meet-up with director Bashar Hamdan, he will tell us about the initiatives and attempts to collect and document Palestinian archives, stolen and lost archives in international archives, the efforts made to collect, document and preserve Palestinian cinema archives from being lost, and the importance of employing culture, arts and cinema for the sake of further legitimizing the Palestinian cause. The session will conclude with a presentation of Palestinian items from the Heritage Library.
